Grateful Thankful Blessed

That describes how I and most others are feeling this time of year.  Thanksgiving is a time for friends, family and fellowship.  We are blessed to be able to spend this time of year with my Parents, Siblings, Nieces, Nephews, and 3 of our 5 Grown Children and their spouses and friends.  It has been a long time since these three kids have seen each other due to the fact they all live in different places across the U.S.  We are so thankful to have them here.

We will be serving the typical Thanksgiving Day Meal with Turkey, Cornbread Dressing, Cranberry Sauce, Some type of Fruit Salad, Some type of Green Beans or Broccoli & Rice Casserole, Rolls & who knows what else.  For Dessert we will have the traditional Pumpkin Pies, Pecan Pies but we are adding a twist this year - Banana Pudding!  It is a family favorite that usually gets made with a family BBQ, but I mentioned it to my Dad and his face lit up like a Christmas Tree, so, I am fixing that special for him.

I am looking forward to this Thanksgiving knowing that we have so much to be Thankful for.  This is one concept that I have been focusing on so much over the past 6 months.  It is easy to get caught up in all of the worldly things that are going on in life, but I've found that it takes time and effort to stop and just be Thankful for all of the things I do have, and the people I have to enjoy them with.  It has really helped me during this trying time we have all been going through over the past 3 years.

1 Chronicles 16:34

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.

From our Family to Yours, We are wishing you a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
